“There’s more to life than being a passenger.”
-Unknown.
What about your life makes you feel like a passenger instead of the driver?
Have you ever had that dream where you’re in the backseat of the car, and there’s no driver? It somehow manages to stay on the road without any accidents, but it’s terrifying all the same? Upon realizing there’s no driver, you try to drive from the back, instead of just jumping into the drivers seat.
After having that dream multiple times, I decided to search the inter-webs for the meaning. Dreams can always be interpreted a million different ways, but usually it’s the most simple explanation: my subconscious is telling me to take control of my life. Take control and drive myself in the direction I wish to go.
One thing that makes me feel more like a passenger than a driver is when problems need fixing, but it’s out of my hands to do any changing.
More specifically, when there are frustrations and concerns at my job and no one seems to listen or take them seriously. So many people complain about their jobs or their life but don’t do anything to change it. I fall into that hole sometimes, and realize I need to put the shovel down.
The first step is to communicate that there is a problem. You can’t fix something when you don’t know it’s broken.
After that, if they decide not to look into it further, that’s on them. I at least tried.

What are your thoughts on the matter?
