“A pessimist is the one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.”
-Harry S. Truman
Are you more optimistic or pessimistic? What contributes to your outlook and do you need to make any changes in this area?
I’m starting to realize that my outlook on situations often varies and depends on the circumstances of the situation itself. If it’s someone else’s problem, I tend to become more optimistic – usually for their sake. When it comes to my own problems, I’m a bit on the pessimistic side. I’m too clouded with my own fears and doubts that it drags me down before I get the chance to stand up.
I need to remember that there will always be problems in life, and sometimes I’ve got to remove my emotions from the equation and look at it from the outside; look at it objectively.
It’s easier for me to help others with their problems because I’m not in the thick of it. I need to start looking at my own problems that way.

What are your thoughts on the matter?
