“Everyone knows they are going to die, but nobody believes it.”
-Morrie
I recently read the book titled: Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I’ll spare the details of the book – I recommend you go read it for yourself.
Here are my initial reactions/thoughts/feelings directly after finishing the book
-Write down quotes that hit the heart.
-Cry.
-Thoughts about my similar experience with my grandma.
-Re-affirms my outlook on life and death.
-Cry more.
-Have an overwhelming urge to write a letter to the author.
-Contemplate writing a story about the personification of death.
-Try not to cry more – then surrender completely.
-Photo copy a page from the book, highlight the quote, then tape it on my wall.
-Get the idea to interview my grandpa in a similar fashion.
-Look up the TV interviews.
-Mourn passed loved ones.
-Write a letter to all my loved ones expressing what they mean to me as if I were to die tomorrow.
Next book: The In-Between: Unforgettable Encounters During Life’s Final Moments by Hadley Vlahos.
