Last short story, then I’ll be all caught up!
Genre: Mystery
Phrase: quick and dirty
Word: queen
Word count: 245 words
Someone wants to meet in half an hour at a nearby parking lot. They have information about the missing statue taken in broad daylight a few weeks ago. The trail had gone cold, and the police acted like nothing had even happened. The statue taken was the goddess and queen of the underworld, Persephone. Pretty ironic; it happened right at the beginning of fall, the same time of year she was done quick and dirty by Hades. Story of her life, right? Kept hidden away from the world by some random guy, and for what? Because they can’t control themselves? Such bullshit.
Is that them, over there? They keep looking at me; oh, here they come. They’re tall as hell; kinda creepy… WHY ARE THEY RUNNING AT ME? Time to leave.
Shit! NO! I’m not going without a fight! Go limp! Make them drag you. Kick! Scream! Bite! So close, keep going. RUN! Don’t stop! Shit, they have me!
I can’t see. I don’t know how long it’s been. “Where am I? What do you want from me?”
A slightly menacing pre-pubescent voice pipes up, “You’re safe…for now.”
“Panic!” another male voice, “How DARE you?”
The blindfold is removed. I’m in a fancy room, darned with gold trim and decaying flowers. “What is going on? Where am I?”
“Oh, how I’ve missed you. Don’t worry, your memory will return to you soon. It’s so nice to have you safe at home again, my darling Persephone.”

What are your thoughts on the matter?
